Nullarbor Couch Grass

Nullarbor Couch grass is the very best performing couch for your home lawn, sporting surface or commercial project.

Nullarbor Couch grass is the couch variety that is best suited to your region and is the perfect choice in couch grass. Here’s why:

  • It provides a good dense cover
  • It has a fine leaf blade & dark green colour
  • It has strong horizontal growth habit that makes it tolerant of low mowing
  • It has low dormancy which means it has an early start to growth after winter
  • It has a rapid recovery from wear and other stresses
  • It has good tolerance of broadleaf herbicides for weed control
  • Excellent wear tolerance

Nullarbor Couch grass is a blue-green colour with a soft leaf texture and reasonable colour retention under low winter temperatures. It has fine dense leaves with a deep root system resulting in a hard wearing surface with a soft leaf texture

Nullarbor Couch lawn

Suitable for residential and commercial lawns.

High wearing areas such as golf courses, tennis courts and even bowling greens where close mowing is required.

Parks, gardens, sports ovals, roadsides, urban in-fill areas and even soil stabilisation areas.

Couch grass varieties need fertilising to keep the lawn at optimum health. Summer fertilisation should alternate between a chemical and organic fertiliser applied every 6 weeks. In winter a single application of fertiliser will be adequate to maintain your lawns health.

Wintergreen will require frequent watering after laying and while establishing, but once well established it is drought tolerant. Watering at medium levels will maintain a healthy lawn.
